I was working on a SaaS video recently, and something felt off.

The visuals were clean. UI looked great. Animations were smooth.

But the video still didn’t explain anything clearly.

That’s when it hit me — the problem wasn’t the editing.

There was no real storyboard behind it.

A lot of SaaS teams do this (and honestly, it makes sense):

You have the product ready → you collect some UI screens → you start editing.

But without a clear flow, the video becomes:

• a bunch of features • random transitions • and no clear story

So the viewer watches… but doesn’t get it.

Now compare that to a simple structured flow:

Start with the actual problem → show where things break → introduce the product naturally → walk through how it solves it → end with a clear outcome

That’s it.

Nothing fancy. Just clarity.

Ever since I started focusing more on storyboarding before editing, the videos started feeling completely different.

Cleaner. Easier to follow. And most importantly — they make sense to the viewer.
