One book… how many stories?
Today I want to share something that happened to me and the reflection it sparked.
I reread a book I had read twenty years ago. Suddenly, it felt unfamiliar — almost like a different book. And yet, the text was the same. The same words. The same author.
So I realized something simple but powerful: if the book hadn’t changed, the reader had.
And of course — twenty years had passed.
That made me think there are as many versions of a book as there are readers. And even more than that: the same reader creates a new version with every rereading.
In that sense, a book can be seen as a node, crossed by infinite perspectives. Each perspective is a timeline of that story.
So there isn’t just one version of a book. There are as many as there are readers.
Isn’t that fascinating?
