A 2024 study recorded the brain activity of 36 students and found that handwriting produced significantly more widespread brain connectivity than typing, including patterns associated with learning.
And in a 2021 University of Tokyo study, people who planned on paper completed their tasks about 25% faster than those using tablets or phones, while also showing greater brain activity when recalling what they had written.
Then there are the chaotic brainstorms. Also on paper. In different colors, obviously.
I'm a one-person team, so for this brand, I don't just write. I design, too.
After four years working with this brand, one thing I've learned is that ideas are rarely the limiting factor. The real question is how you bring them to life.
"Little Red Riding Hood" and "Cinderella" are the what: stories conceived centuries ago.
The how? Thousands of adaptations.
Content works the same way. The topic is the what. The angle, format, and channel are the how.
And that's where the possibilities multiply.
What's your mix: all digital, all paper, or somewhere in between?
