Every professional was once a beginner.
But how can a beginner gain experience if no one is willing to give them a chance?
We often choose experienced professionals because we want the best results. And that makes sense.
But if we always hire people who already have years of experience, how will beginners ever become experienced?
A beginner needs an opportunity to show what they can do.
Give them one chance.
Let them work.
Let them learn.
Let them improve.
Let them prove themselves.
And supporting beginners doesn’t always mean giving them a big opportunity right away. Sometimes, small things can make a huge difference:
• Give them a small project to prove their skills.
• Give them constructive feedback so they know how to improve.
• Give them a chance to work alongside experienced professionals.
• Focus on their potential, not only their years of experience.
• Give them a chance to learn from their mistakes.
• Recognize their effort when they do good work.
And who knows?
The beginner you give a chance to today might surprise you by doing even better work than someone with years of experience.
Talent is not always measured by years of experience.
Sometimes, a person simply needs an opportunity to show what they are capable of.
Every professional you trust today was once a beginner. They also needed someone to take a chance on them.
So let's not judge people only by how much experience they have.
Look at their skills. Look at their dedication. Look at their willingness to learn.
Give them an opportunity.
Because one chance can turn a beginner into a professional.
And that one opportunity could be the beginning of someone's successful career.
If we want more talented professionals tomorrow, we have to be willing to give beginners opportunities today. 🌱

Portox: a website for designers and developers that shows range before the first message
The brief: most portfolios open with a name and a job title, then make the visitor dig for the three things that actually decide the hire. Are you available, what do you really do, and has anyone paid you for it. Portox had to answer all three inside the first screen and keep answering as the page scrolls.
Decisions. The hero carries the hiring answer: an "Available for Work" tag, a Hire Me button and a stats row (10+ years of experience, 2k+ happy clients) sit with the intro, so nobody scrolls to find out. Services are an accordion where the open one is a full case: Ui/Ux Design expands into a real project with its own copy, image and numbers, while Web Development, Motion Design and App Development stay one tap away, so four services fit one screen without turning into four thin cards. Testimonials are tagged by the kind of work they came from (Mobile app, UI/UX, Branding, Website, Development) and sit directly above the process section, so proof and method answer back to back instead of a visitor having to trust one without the other.
The result: a website template for designers, developers and studio freelancers, with a hero that states availability, an about block, a services accordion, tagged testimonials, a Discovery to Wireframe to Design process section, plus Portfolio and Blog. It ships with a designsystem.md, so you can hand it to an AI agent like Claude or Cursor, describe the change in plain words and have it done. Edit it yourself, no code.

Clean and professional.
The most interesting shift in independent work is how much of an idea one person can now bring to life.
As I build Noerong, I keep returning to this question:
What becomes possible when the same person can understand a problem, design the experience, write the product, and build the system behind it?
Stripe Economics recently reported that more than twice as many businesses in its solopreneur proxy index crossed $1 million in revenue in 2025 as in 2023. The caveat matters: some businesses in that index may have employees. It is an encouraging signal, not proof that every solo business can scale that way.
Three things make me optimistic:
More ideas can reach a working first version.
Software and AI can help independent builders move across disciplines. Someone still needs to decide which problem deserves attention, what the product should do, and whether the result is good enough to ship.
The tools expand our capacity. The responsibility stays with us.
Small businesses can build around focused problems.
With LeadDesk, I focused on a specific workflow: helping a website visitor get an answer, request a quote, and pass a useful enquiry to the business owner.
That is the kind of opportunity I find interesting. A clear problem with a practical product around it.
Trust becomes more valuable as building becomes more accessible.
When more people can create a convincing demo, I think the differentiator becomes what happens next.
Does the product work beyond the presentation? Are its limitations explained honestly? Can the person behind it communicate clearly and support what they build?
Those are the standards I want to keep improving against.
Independent work also brings uncertainty. Finding clients, managing scope, maintaining products, and earning repeat business all require sustained effort. Collaboration remains part of the work.
My ambition with Noerong is to take focused problems from 0 to 1 and earn trust through the quality of the result. Sharing the work and the decisions behind it is part of that process.
