A useful product comparison makes the working method clear before purchase.
At Bright Slate Studios, we made this guide for our own existing Market Day Worksheets products.
The two panels present the same decision points: format, price, contents, workflow and limits.
• Printable PDF: $5 USD base, four static, non-fillable worksheets in A4 and US Letter. Use a pen and calculator.
• Spreadsheet kit: $9 USD base, an XLSX workbook with 30 product rows. Tested for desktop Google Sheets import; one event per file.
Both are digital downloads; applicable tax may be added.
For a client’s product page, clarify the requirement first: will the customer print and calculate by hand, or need calculations in a spreadsheet? Which software and limits must they know before buying?
Put those answers beside the choice so the buyer can compare them.

Before an interview, write three rough notes:
• What problem did the team face?
• What did I personally decide, create, check, or change?
• What evidence do I actually have about the result?
A modest example you can explain beats an impressive number you cannot support. If there were no reliable metrics, describe what you observed instead. Keep client names and confidential details out.

The client's inventory wasn't organized. Products weren't consistently recorded, there was no SKU structure, and the system's stock figures didn't match what was physically on the shelves. That made it hard to know what they really had, what it was worth, and what their cost of sales should be.
What I did
Chose the right tool. I recommended QuickBooks Plus, which handles inventory tracking properly, rather than patching up spreadsheets.
Built the product list. I added every product to the system and allocated a clear SKU to each one.
Sorted the inventory. I organized the stock records so each item could be identified and tracked.
Reconciled to a physical count. I compared the system quantities with the actual stock on hand and resolved the differences.
