As lead author on this PNAS publication, my colleagues and I examined the ecological impact of invasive Burmese pythons in Everglades National Park, documenting dramatic declines in native mammal populations. The study required synthesizing extensive long-term field data into a clear, compelling narrative suitable for a high-impact scientific audience. I led the manuscript’s structure, argument development, and refinement of clarity and flow while maintaining technical precision. The result is a widely cited publication that demonstrates my ability to transform complex, data-driven material into clear, publication-ready writing.
