Your website doesn’t always need more traffic. Sometimes, it needs better traffic.
I’ve seen websites getting thousands of monthly visitors but generating very few leads.
The problem?
They’re optimizing for traffic instead of intent.
A strong SEO strategy should answer 3 questions:
1. Are the right people finding you? Ranking for high-volume keywords means little if those visitors will never become customers.
2. Does the page match their intent? Someone searching “what is SEO” has a very different intent from someone searching “SEO agency for SaaS companies.”
3. What happens after they land? Even qualified traffic can disappear if the page has weak messaging, no clear CTA, poor internal linking, or no logical next step.
This is why I look beyond rankings and traffic.
The real goal is to build a search strategy that connects:
Search Intent → Relevant Content → Authority → Trust → Conversion
SEO works best when every part of that journey supports the next one.
So before asking, “How can we get more traffic?”
Ask:
“Are we attracting the right people—and giving them a reason to take action?”
That question can completely change your SEO strategy.
