This project showcases my ability to craft psychological tension, pacing, and suspense in narrative filmmaking. Editing a thriller isn't just about cutting clips—it's about controlling the audience's heartbeat. This sample highlights how I manipulate timing, color palette, and audio to build a gripping, atmospheric cinematic experience that keeps viewers hooked from the opening frame to the final twist.
What I Did (My Process): Suspense Pacing & Cutting: Mastered the art of the "slow burn" and high-intensity jump cuts, strategically holding frames to build anxiety and executing rapid sequences during action or climax scenes.
Psychological Sound Design: Created a terrifying soundscape by layering ambient drones, sudden audio drops, and riser effects to subconsciously amplify the film's tension.
Moody, Atmospheric Color Grading: Developed a custom, cinematic color grade using deep shadows, muted tones, and high-contrast palettes to reflect the dark, suspenseful mood of the script.
Continuity & Visual Storytelling: Meticulously matched eyelines, managed multi-angle suspense sequences, and utilized invisible cuts to maintain total immersion.
