I'm just being all the way completely upfront about it, stating the facts and letting the clients make the choice.
Usually, they come to terms with themselves and choose whatever direction makes more sense in terms of business outcomes.
However, some never fail to surprise on the amount of mental effort that can take ;)

Subtle can still convert if the CTA is visually calm but structurally clear. Contrast, placement, and a short label usually matter more than making the button shout.
