Concept project: Larkhour is a fictional sunrise lamp I created to show my full landing page workflow, from visual direction to a production-ready, responsive build.
What I did • Defined the visual direction: a palette that moves from night to morning sky, a type scale (Anybody for headlines, Atkinson Hyperlegible Next for text) and written motion principles • Built a fully responsive page, tested at 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 px, with Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS • Connected Sanity as a headless CMS, so copy, pricing and section order can be edited without touching code. Publishing updates the live site in seconds, with no redeploy • Designed a scroll-driven hero with GSAP where the page and the lamp light up together, plus interactions with a purpose: a wake-up configurator, an alarm-vs-sunrise comparison and a reservation form. Reduced-motion is supported • Optimized for performance and accessibility: Lighthouse mobile on the live site scores 98–99 in performance and 100 in accessibility, best practices and SEO. Full keyboard navigation, checked with axe and VoiceOver
Design decisions Instead of a stock photo and three identical feature cards, the page itself wakes up as you scroll: the lamp and the background share one light value, so visitors feel the product in the first seconds. I also replaced the feature list with a configurator where visitors set their wake time and see the sunrise, and their choices carry into the reservation form.
