BuildRight Lagos is a residential construction and renovation company based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The problem
For a small construction business, a simple message like “Can someone come and take a look at my property?” can turn into a long chain of WhatsApp messages, availability checks, project questions, appointment coordination, reminders, and follow-ups.
I wanted to solve that operational problem rather than simply create another construction company website.
The solution
I built a booking experience that turns an initial construction inquiry into a qualified, confirmed site consultation.
Instead of asking the contractor to manually coordinate every new lead, the customer can:
Choose their project → Describe the scope → Provide their location → Select an available time → Confirm the consultation.
The business receives the information it needs before the visit, while the customer gets an immediate confirmation and a clear next step.
Designed around the owner, not just the customer
The experience also considers what happens after the booking.
The owner can see upcoming consultations and the information collected during the booking process, giving them a clearer picture of:
Who the customer is
What they want to build or renovate
Where the project is located
The expected project scope
When the consultation is scheduled
The workflow also accounts for common construction-business friction such as rescheduling, appointment reminders, and following up with potential projects.
Why I built it this way
The goal wasn't to make construction feel “digital” for the sake of it.
The goal was to remove unnecessary coordination from a very real moment in the customer journey:
“Can you come take a look?” → “You're booked.”
By moving the repetitive questions and scheduling steps into the product, the contractor can spend less time coordinating appointments and more time actually working on projects.
Built with Lovable for the Contra × Lovable Challenge.
I built GlowHaus Concierge for a fictional solo beauty studio in Lekki, Lagos.
The problem: a simple “Can I book with you?” can turn into 10+ messages, checking availability, collecting details, chasing deposits, confirming appointments, and handling reschedules.
So I built a system that turns:
“Can I book with you?” - “You’re booked.”
Customers can:
Choose a service
Pick an available time
Enter their details
Pay a deposit
Get confirmed
Reschedule themselves
And the owner gets a dashboard for bookings, deposits, follow-ups, and automations.
I already submitted my Lovable challenge but I decided to update the landing page and make it look a little bit better by introducing more images to make the page a little bit more interactive especially on the services section, which one do you like: the old one or the new one?
And somehow, almost one full day of those three went into the intro you see when the page first opens.
Not because it was necessary — mostly because I’ve wanted to try something like this for a long time.
Web design and development are far from my main field, so I kept putting this idea off. This challenge finally gave me a reason to test it properly — and seeing it actually work is ridiculously satisfying.
The video was converted into an image sequence and tied directly to scrolling on desktop and swiping on mobile, so the animation is controlled by the user as they move through the page.
Right now the project is already at Build 4.2.3.
The backend is working properly, the main mechanics are in place, but visually… there’s still a lot to redo. The current plan is to rebuild almost the entire visual layer before the final version.
I also found out today that Lovable reduced the number of prize spots quite significantly — apparently, there will only be 3 finalists.
That definitely makes the odds a little more painful 😅
But either way, I’m already getting a new portfolio case out of this project, and I’m finally experimenting with things I’ve wanted to build for a long time.
How’s everyone else doing?
Still working on your project, or have you already submitted it?
Or did you decide not to participate at all? If so, I’m curious — what made you skip it?
That intro effect looks sick! 🔥 By the way, I'm working on a car showroom project too, but not sure if I'll manage to finish and submit it on time. If luck is on my side, it’s going to be a really fun competition haha. Good luck!
