Concept: Paper-tear reveal effect symbolizing market disruption and new beginnings.

The Spotify disco ball icon discourse has honestly been hilarious to watch 😆
At first, I was fully against it because I thought they permanently changed the logo... and I was like absolutely not.
BUT now knowing it’s temporary and tied to celebrating 20 years of Spotify, I actually think it makes a lot more sense✨
Hot take: the disco ball icon actually speaks to Spotify better than people are giving it credit for. Music, nightlife, nostalgia, parties, culture, movement, celebration; a disco ball instantly communicates all of that.
For a temporary anniversary moment, it honestly feels kinda perfect 😌
Anyway... I ended up discofying some of my favourite mascot designs because of it and ngl they came out pretty cool ☺️❤️🔥
