I built ISSUE 001 because i have always loved magazines. I was so ambitious i wanted to grow up, be a model and be one. With ISSUE 001 brought to life by bubble, that goal seems more attainable. It turns every day candid images into editorial grade magazines that stay in in youf family for generations(I also would like to just look at myself in a cool magazine hehe).
This was my first time using buble and the learning curve wasnt that bad. I used recaft AI to generate some of the images. My process began with using the in built AI to generate my a[[(the end of the demo video), which i later changed and edited some stuff to fit the vision i had in mind. Using custom CSS , HTML and heavy reliance on the in-built ai agent I tweaked ISSUE 001 into what it is now.
I drew faces constantly as a kid and never studied design. I worked at a few agencies, then left one I actually liked to go out on my own.
Today that's BrightStudios, and I've designed for 100+ companies and startups. Self-taught turned out fine.
BRUTUS takes its inspiration from brutalist (editorial) design: restrained grids, oversized typography, issue based CMS, strong contrast and very little decoration.
The result is bold and direct, while the underlying system remains clear and minimal. It gives the content a distinct identity without adding unnecessary visual complexity.
