Started a 16-week bulk in January. Halfway through.
The plan was to track macros, train consistently, see what happens. What I didn't expect was how structuring one part of my life would affect everything else.
The gym became the anchor. When FIFA work gets chaotic, training stays constant. When NYC winter makes it easy to hibernate, it forces me out. When Contra projects come in, I have the energy to execute.
Results: +7-8 lbs, lifts up, better sleep, sharper at work. But the bigger thing is feeling more in control of my time, focus, ability to follow through. The discipline from tracking nutrition bleeds into managing projects and showing up for clients.
If you're freelancing and things feels scattered, find one thing you can control, it really does make everything else manageable.
