One of the most confusing Shopify issues I’ve faced wasn’t a bug, it was misleading data.
A client’s store showed products out of stock while suppliers had inventory. Sales were blocked and ads were running, so the issue was blamed on suppliers.
The real problem? A broken inventory sync between Shopify and multiple suppliers.
What I did:
Audited inventory updates (apps + Shopify settings)
Identified conflicts between tracking rules and supplier feeds
Fixed the sync logic and added safeguards
Result: Products back in stock, orders resumed, and sales losses avoided.
👉 If your Shopify stock doesn’t match reality, it’s worth a closer look.
