When they click 'Plan My Day with AI', the React frontend sends the tasks to an Express backend through a POST API. The backend securely handles the Groq API key using environment variables and sends the user's tasks to an LLM with a structured prompt. The AI generates a short and realistic plan for the day, which the backend sends back to React and displays in the UI.

The community votes, and an ELO system moves players across 12 rank tiers. Built with Next.js, with Discord integration that syncs ranks automatically. The hard part wasn't the interface. It was designing a ranking system that stays fair when the judges are the players themselves. The platform is live with an active player base.
A couple of additions that work well for self-judged platforms: give new players a provisional rating with a higher K-factor until they've played ~20 matches, so they climb to their real tier quickly instead of getting stuck low; and keep an eye on vote patterns — if a specific...
A websites doesn't always need a complete rebuild. Sometimes it just needs better decisions.
When I look at a website that isn't performing well, I don't immediately think about changing everything
I look for the things that are actually holding it back:
01 — Confusing layout
Can a visitor understand the page without thinking too much?
02 — Weak visual hierarchy
Are the most important elements actually getting attention?
03 — Poor mobile experience
Does the website still feel natural and easy to use on a phone?
04 — Unclear call-to-action
Does the visitor know what to do next?
05 — Slow or unnecessary elements
Animations and visuals should improve the experience—not get in its way.
A good redesign isn't about making everything look different.
It's about making the website clearer, faster and easier to use.
That's the approach I like to take when improving a website:
Understand → Simplify → Design → Optimize.
