Nostalgia for me included a game of housie with family, friends and at local get-togethers.
Over the last few years I have seen a decline in people hosting housie games at their parties or functions.
That's why I decided to come up with Housie Number, a place for you to play housie without login, signups or printing tickets.
With Housie Number you can host an entire game as many times as you like.
Invite people using the QR code and everyone can generate their own ticket.
When you click on "Start Game," you can call out numbers at your own pace.
The best part? You can play while hosting!
When I was researching about housie, the trend I noticed was that its demand was mostly in India.
To cater to our large demographic, I added the ability to translate the page to Hindi.
This way, if a person prefers numbers in Hindi, they can toggle to change the language without losing progress or ticket numbers.
It took me six hours in total to envision, research, design and then execute the code in Claude Code.
