A short perspective on 'the grind':
Over the last weeks days I've run into many people who are 'on the grid'. I have to admit, I am too and am very passionate about what I do. This said, I think putting in the extra hours, burning the midnight oil, is a personal decision and one I can respect. When the thing you are working on is your 'baby' and consumes you, it makes sense that you want to spent every waking moment on it and thinking about, but most other people are not in that position. What I can't find my self to respect is when someone like this does not in turn respect other peoples time or feels that everyone else should be burning at the same rate or more than they are. Everyone has their own priorities.
