Throwback to my first-ever short film: Ode to Cutlery.
A tiny office comedy about a divided office between spoons and forks — and the chaos that ensues when a spork joins the team.
I made this film as part of my Chapman application. It was my first real attempt at writing, directing, filming, and editing a complete story. Somehow this weird little world made it into festivals, won Best Under 18 at the Holden Village Film Festival, and even earned the TCM “Next Gen Women Make Film” award.
It’s wild looking back now… I was just a teenager making a film about silverware with workplace drama. And it still holds up.
