Happy International Design Day.

I still remember my first year at university back in 2015. 🥹 Copying type, making questionable decisions, trying to understand what design even meant.

Nothing was polished. Everything was a process.

Fast forward to today, and it’s wild to see how far that curiosity and persistence can take you.

Grateful for every messy beginning that led here.

As a fellow strategist, I’ve realized that the messy beginnings are where we learn how to actually defend a design idea. Persistence really is the ultimate competitive advantage. Hard not to love this job when you get to create work like this with founders every day. I don’t know how to do it any other way than all in. That means pushing past scope. Spending extra time on the detail no one asked for. Perfecting the one element that elevates everything else. Sometimes it means I lose in margins but in reality, it’s the reason the next client shows up. Work you’re genuinely proud of doesn’t just ship… it compounds.
