A product configurator is more than a widget on a Shopify page.
In a recent integration build, I worked on the Liquid product page, metafield-driven configuration, an external storefront adapter, responsive 3D preview behavior, and the path from configuration to cart. The hard part was coordinating the theme and app without leaving the native product form in a broken state.
My approach: define one clear integration contract, test mobile and desktop flows, and make the adapter clean up after itself when a product page changes.
This integration was implemented and validated; its deployment is separate. I build custom commerce flows with Shopify, TypeScript, React, and full-stack APIs.

Peptra is live!!!
Excited to share one of my latest Shopify projects a complete website design and development for Peptra, a modern telehealth and longevity brand.
I took the project from initial concepts in Figma all the way through to a fully developed Shopify experience, focusing on creating a website that feels modern, trustworthy, easy to navigate, and built for conversion.

Shopify just made Liquid storefronts faster.
Shopify is now streaming parts of the page to the browser earlier, helping Liquid storefronts start loading sooner.
The result?
⚡~29% improvement in median TTFB at p75
⚡FCP and LCP also improved
⚡No changes required from merchants
But there’s an important point for developers:
Your theme structure still matters.
Where you place critical CSS, fonts, scripts, and {{ content_for_header }} can affect how much of this improvement users actually experience.
Shopify is getting faster at the platform level — but well-optimized themes still matter.
AI has made building products easier than ever — but I feel many products are starting to look the same.
Same UI, same patterns, same “AI-generated” feeling.
So I’m exploring this with my new local gifting e-commerce app for my local client, built with React Native.
