Dug through my old CVs while updating the current one. The interesting thing isn't the design changes — it's what the CV was trying to do at each stage.
2015: Portfolio samples embedded in the document. Screenshots, visuals, everything. The CV doubled as a portfolio because a proper site meant coding it yourself or paying someone.
2021-2023: Tools like Webflow existed, but I still used the CV to prove range — color, software lists, timeline graphics. Carrying weight it didn't need to.
Now 2026: One page. Minimal. Just work history. The website no carries the weight www.simoncreates.me
The document got simpler because it doesn't have to do everything anymore.
Anyone else keep work from 10+ years ago? Wild to see where things were.
