What My Customer Churn Project Taught Me
I just wrapped up my customer churn project and learned something big.
At first, I chased complex algorithms, perfect scores, and fancy models. They looked great on paper, but nobody could use them. So I went back to the team and simply asked: 👉 What makes customers leave? 👉 What patterns do you see?
Their insights changed everything. I rebuilt the model to be simple and practical, and during my presentation, nobody cared about the algorithms. They cared about the actions.
Lesson learned: The best models aren’t the most complex, they’re the most useful. Domain knowledge beats complexity every time. #python #machinelearning # datascience #featureengineering
