A couple of weeks ago, I barely knew Contra existed.
I signed up, started building out my portfolio, learning how the platform works, and figuring out the best way to present my AI video work here.
Three days ago, I hit my first $1K earned on Contra.
It may be a small milestone, but reaching it this quickly on a platform that was completely new to me feels pretty great.
Still learning, still building, and very curious to see where this goes next.

Going from not knowing Contra existed to $1K in a couple weeks is a fast ramp, especially presenting AI video work which is still a newer category for clients to evaluate. What made someone say yes on that first project?
I think the biggest factor was that I wasn’t presenting AI as the skill itself. I already had 6+ years of filmmaking, cinematography and post-production experience, so I tried to show AI work as actual directed video - with storytelling, composition, lighting, pacing and a clear...

What are your thoughts?
The orange-and-white system has real shelf presence—the oversized letterforms and repeated geometric rhythm make the identity feel both ownable and flexible. I’d be curious to see how the pattern behaves at small digital sizes where the wordmark has less room to breathe.
