As a child, I missed out on the simple joy of a cake made just for me. Growing up, I kept thinking about how much a gesture like that could mean.
That thought became Cake, then. — a concept bakery for the moments that never make the calendar.
Your first client. The keys to your own place. Finishing something you nearly gave up on. These moments can mean the world to the person living them. I wanted to give them a little ritual of their own.
You choose your reason, shape, colour and flavour, then add a few words to the cake. The preview changes as you make it yours, and the builder brings everything together in a saved demo request.
For independent bakers, the idea has a practical purpose: give customers more occasions to celebrate and collect their wishes in one clear brief.
I designed the identity and experience in Figma, then brought the website and interactive builder to life with Base44. Bright colours and playful motion carry that same feeling through the experience.
This project began with a small joy I missed. I hope it helps someone else make room for theirs.
