After months of letting this idea sit in my notes, I finally decided it was time to build it.
This week, I reached my first milestone: the homepage and all the public-facing pages are complete. It may not seem like much, but getting from an idea to something real is always the hardest step.
The project is called Weave.
It's an invite-only platform where freelancers and independent professionals exchange services using Skill Hours instead of cash. The idea is simple: if you're a developer who needs a designer, or a copywriter who needs a developer, you can trade your expertise without money being the barrier.
I'm still building the core product, but seeing the landing page, help center, legal pages, and other public pages come together makes it feel real for the first time.
There's still a long road ahead - authentication, user profiles, the marketplace, Skill Hour ledger, escrow, and everything else that brings the platform to life, but I'm excited to keep shipping.
I'll be sharing progress as I build in public. Feedback is always welcome.
