RECOMMISSION Motor Works, Bristol. Helping a solo workshop owner turn booking enquiries into confirmed inspection slots without exchanging messages.
For #lovablechallenge, I imagined Jamie, the owner of a fictional independent garage in Bristol.
Jamie handles inspections and customer enquiries himself. He can inspect one car at a time, with 60-minute appointments at 9am, 11am and 2pm on weekdays. Customers often know something feels wrong with their car but don’t know which service or part they need.
A simple “Can I book?” becomes several messages: Which car? What’s happening? When are you free? What should I prepare?
I chose to fix that front door, then made it playable.
Built in Lovable, RECOMMISSION lets customers drive through a 3D motor court with three useful stops:
01 · Inspection
Record the vehicle and concern in plain language. No diagnosis required.
02 · Optional parts
Explore kits or continue with an inspection alone. Fitting is quoted separately.
03 · Booking
Check availability, choose a time, review the £85 inspection and save the reservation. The booking is confirmed in the app without Jamie manually approving it.
The same draft follows the customer through every stop. Book without driving provides a direct route through the process.
What changes for Jamie?
Instead of piecing together messages, he opens the workshop desk and sees the appointment, vehicle, concern and selected parts together. Grouped parts lists support preparation, while customers can reschedule or cancel their own reservations.
I wanted the mini-game to give the workshop a memorable identity while still delivering the thing the customer came for: a booked visit.
Built a voice-first tour booking site for abandoned places in Bulgaria. You talk to it, it plans and books your route. Made with Lovable for the challenge.
Next up: an AI that recognizes bears (and soon other wildlife) from trail cams, plus a WebXR museum of Bulgarian traditions.
This is so cool Ilian! Voice-first booking for abandoned places in Bulgaria - such a unique niche! You talk, it plans and books - love how frictionless that is. For next, I'd vote for the bear recognition AI from trail cams - that's super unique and has real conservation value!...
The WhatsApp confirmation is the smartest part of this build. Patients skip emails, but almost everyone reads a WhatsApp message within minutes. I also like that the review request is automated. Happy patients forget to leave reviews, and that one message is worth a lot for a...
