The Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel is named after a real French palace. Here's why. In the 1950s, the man who built the hotel visited that palace in France and loved it so much, he named his new Miami Beach hotel after it. That palace is where French kings once lived, and where they employed an artist named Léonard Limosin as their court painter. This 1556 portrait, one of his works, shows Henri d'Albret, King of Navarre. The hotel's name and this portrait trace back to the exact same place: the Château de Fontainebleau. As a tribute to Limosin, I used his portrait of the king as inspiration to redesign the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel pool floor, using AI. Here's how 👇
