One of the techniques I built for the Flora challenge this week turned out more useful than I expected! It takes a photo of the flowers a florist already has in stock and a short client request, and generates bouquet concepts that are actually possible to make.

What I mean by possible: it reads the flowers in the photo, understands the palette and textures, and then proposes bouquet ideas using only those flowers.

Florists often use AI for inspiration, but the results usually include flowers they don't have. Which means more searching, more tweaking, or starting over.

This technique skips that step. Upload a photo of the available flowers, add the client’s request, and it generates four bouquet options that are easier to show, easier for the client to choose, and realistic to recreate. I gave Runway and Gemini new video models the exact same references and prompt for a skincare campaign and compared the results side by side.

One handled motion beautifully while the other added elements I didn't ask for. Interesting interpretation! 😂
