So I had a convo with my boyfriend today:
12:04 (me): Guess who made a little tool to generate invoices?! It took me an hour to do I'll save 10-15 minutes each month!...it's a bit laggy, but it kinda works!! So fun...
12:10 (him): sounds cool! good job hehe
12:15 (me): forget it, it doesn't work...
12:17: (me): Okay, it works!!! yesss!!
12:17: (me): maybe...
12:25: (him): ??
12:26 (me): yeah...

So I connected it to Paper and made it visually draw out its thoughts instead.
The coolest part? I added visual effects to show how hard it's thinking:
🟦 Calm blue = "I got this" (confident)
🟥 Boiling red = "This is tricky"
The Impact:
You don't have to read 1,000 words to understand a complex architecture. You can look at the canvas and instantly feel which parts of the system are easy, and which parts are under immense structural pressure.
I am not just making AI visual. With Paper, I am completely removing the cognitive load of complex system design.

How we added AI ticket classification in Retool
Problem
The support team handled incoming requests manually. Every ticket had to be reviewed, tagged, and routed before real work could begin
Manual triage
This created delays, inconsistent tagging, and too much repetitive work for the team
AI classification
We added AI inside a Retool workflow to detect intent, assign priority, and suggest the right queue automatically
Impact
Tickets reached the right people faster, triage time dropped, and the team focused more on solving issues instead of sorting them
The workflow stayed the same, only the manual step was removed
👉 AI works best when it supports existing workflows
I hate the "thinking" phase when chatting with AI LLMs.
- It doesnt support my ADHD
- I always switch to another tab
- That is a horrible UX
Mapped the reasons when a user switches context
- take notes on Notion, Docs [added a Notes feature]
- have to doodle to help in image generation (especially a non-designer user, with no access to canvas tools) [added draw feature]
- to seek distractions [play mini games]
So, I added distractions within the context. Now a user can STAY a bit longer.
