Search as we knew it is dead. Generative AI engines give users the answers directly. No clicks. No traffic. Just immediate data extraction.
Here is the massive trap we are all falling into right now:
🔴 If you write purely for AI (LLMs, RAG models): You create sterile, highly-structured, robotic content. The AI easily parses your data, but when a real human finally reads it, they feel absolutely nothing. Zero conversions.
🔵 If you write purely for Humans: You create deep, emotional, nuanced stories. You build trust. But the AI algorithms can't parse your unstructured emotion, so they ignore you entirely. You remain a beautiful, invisible secret.
So, who is the real boss now?
Are we supposed to write like emotionless machines just to get discovered, and then magically switch to deep human empathy to close the deal? Is "Human-First Content" just a comforting lie we tell ourselves to feel better? Or is "AI-First Optimization" a path to creative burnout?
I'm completely torn and I refuse to pretend I have the perfect formula.
Who are you optimizing for right now: The cold Algorithm or The warm User? Is it even possible to serve two masters without destroying your brand's voice?

Everyone says SEO is dead. Meanwhile, I just got a financial advisor cited in ChatGPT in 48 hours.
Two days ago, I published four highly specific FAQ pages for a wealth management firm in Austin:
$5M–$10M business sale tax minimization in Texas
Financial planning for tech execs with $3M+ RSUs
Estate planning for $15M+ families
Post-exit planning after an $8M–$20M company sale
48 hours later, I checked ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Three out of four pages are already being cited.
I also tested a prompt:
“Find a financial advisor in Austin for tech executives with RSUs.”
The firm showed up by name.
Another one:
“What to do after selling a $10M business in Texas?”
Their FAQ content was directly referenced.
This isn’t about replacing SEO, it’s about how SEO is expanding.
Search isn't just Google anymore. AI systems are now another discovery layer, and they still reward the same fundamentals: relevance, clarity, and specificity.
What’s working right now is simple:
Highly specific, scenario based content.
Not “retirement planning,” but real situations like:
IPO-bound tech execs with $8M ISOs
Physicians selling practices with tax exposure
Founders post exit structuring $10M+ wealth
The pattern is clear.
Specific content gets understood faster, and surfaced more often across both Google and AI tools.
We’ve now seen this repeat across multiple clients:
Week 1: publish
Week 2: appear in AI answers
Week 3: inbound leads mentioning ChatGPT or Perplexity
One firm started publishing weekly FAQs and began getting cited within days.
Another delayed. A competitor didn’t.
That competitor is now getting the visibility instead.
The takeaway isn’t “SEO is dead.”
It’s that SEO now includes AI search and the winners are the ones adapting content to real world, specific user intent.
