Project Overview: Rather than simply documenting the event, this project was designed to build anticipation leading into fight night while celebrating the fighter and the community behind them.
The objective was to create a piece that energized the audience, amplified support for the athlete, and showcased the culture of the gym.
My Role:
Content Production
Collated footage captured throughout the fighter's preparation
Organized and selected the strongest moments to tell a cohesive story
Edited the final video for social media distribution
Creative Editing
Built momentum through pacing and sequencing
Timed cuts to music to heighten emotion
Balanced action shots with quieter training moments to create contrast
Designed the edit to keep viewers engaged from the opening seconds through the final reveal
The Strategy:
This wasn't simply a highlight reel.
The edit was designed to:
Build anticipation ahead of the fight
Increase engagement across social media
Strengthen the fighter's personal brand
Reinforce the gym's identity as a supportive community
Create a piece that members felt proud to share
