AI Instant SMS Response Agent | Zapier + Groq + Vonage Automation
Built a production-ready AI-powered lead response system that automatically converts callback requests into personalized SMS follow-ups without human intervention.
The agent captures new form submissions in real time, uses Groq AI to analyze the client's name and service interest, and generates a warm, personalized SMS response tailored to their request. The message is sent instantly via the Vonage SMS API, every lead is automatically logged to Airtable for tracking, and the business owner receives an instant Gmail notification with the full lead summary.
Speed is the core value here - most small businesses lose leads simply by responding too slowly. This agent closes that gap by responding within seconds of a form submission, keeping the client engaged while their interest is still high.
Result: lead response time cut from hours to seconds. Fully functional with real integrations - live SMS delivery, no mock data.
Note: this demo uses free-tier tools (Vonage SMS, Google Forms,Airable, Gmail) to showcase the logic end-to-end. The architecture is platform-agnostic - form intake can be swapped for any CRM/webhook trigger, and SMS delivery can run on WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, or any messaging provider depending on client requirements and budget.

In this Loom I walk you through an automation that turns real time weather data into smarter sales and staffing decisions. I built a workflow that polls daily weather, evaluates current conditions, and then either generates an AI daily plan or sends a targeted severe weather alert. For normal days it uses temperature and weather description to recommend what to prioritize, how to stock, and how to promote, and sends the plan to the team via Gmail. For extreme conditions it triggers alerts with immediate operational adjustments like focusing on cold items during heat waves. No action is directly requested from you, but the team receives the outputs.
