Which testimonial format actually builds more trust?
Three cards = fast trust. A visitor scans it in 3 seconds and thinks: "okay, multiple people vouch for this." Good for quick credibility on a landing page.
One detailed case study = deep trust. Before/after, specific context, a real transformation. It doesn't just say "this works" – it shows how and why. That's what turns a skeptical visitor into someone who actually reads to the end.
Short testimonials answer: "Do people like this?"
A case study answers: "Will this work for someone like me?"
Which format would make you trust the specialist more: three short testimonials or one detailed case study?

Just like you mentioned in your description, I’d go with the three-card section. I also have a small suggestion worth exploring. You could make each card clickable, with the content (one case) opening in a pop-up or modal that shows the full details of that card. I think that...
One product, two ways to build the stage around it.
One opens the room wide: a vast hall of polished floor and gold light, waveforms suspended overhead like an installation you could walk beneath.
The other closes in tight: an anechoic chamber lined with foam wedges, stone plinth, everything stripped back so only the object remains.
One makes it an event. The other makes it a reference.
