One ad set spent $169 today at a 3.4% CTR. I killed it before lunch.
Another was at 20.9% CTR on $9 of spend — I left it alone.
That's the whole job. Know which one to kill and which one to leave running.
This week on one content creator account: 11 active ad sets, $393 spent today, average CTR across healthy sets sitting at 17–21%. Two paused, zero wasted
overnight.
Most brands don't have someone watching this daily. The algorithm doesn't pause bad ads — you have to.
If you're spending $2k+ per month on Meta and nobody is checking your ad sets every day, you're leaving money on the table.
DM me. I check accounts daily and tell you exactly what to cut and what to scale.
Well deserved! Reaching the top 1% on Contra takes real effort. These tips are super helpful for anyone looking to grow. Congratulations and keep crushing it!
I made this video for a16z for free anyway. There's a good reason.
Last week they published the 7th edition of their Top 100 consumer AI apps. Olivia Moore's chart at the end of it is the most useful thing I've read about consumer AI this year.
15 categories.
AI has a dedicated product in the Top 100 in four.
Partway in two.
Nothing in nine. Streaming, retail, social, travel, finance, jobs, real estate, gaming, dating.
Netflix's moat is a licensed catalogue. Amazon's is a warehouse. Tinder's is a pool of real people in one city. Years to accumulate, and a model cannot infer its way to any of them.
That chart will be seen by a fraction of the people it was written for. It sits at the bottom of a long report, and charts don't travel. Videos do.
So I turned it into 95 seconds you can watch on your phone, with nothing added that isn't in their research.
The reason: good research deserves to travel further than the PDF it's published in. This one deserved it more than most.
