A founder told me last month: "I can't justify spending $20K on a website when I don't know the ROI."
I asked her how many deals she'd closed in the last year.
34. Average deal size: $8K
Every one of those prospects visited the website before signing.
The website didn't close those deals alone.
But it was in the room for every single one.
The ROI of a website is not really a campaign metric. It's the cost of not having one that works when everything else in your business depends on it.
That distinction gets lost once windows reach hundreds of thousands of tokens. The cost of a request follows what you actually send, not how much room was available. A bigger window doesn't make an abandoned branch free. It just lets you carry three of them before anything visibly breaks.
In a long working session, most of what piles up isn't the active task. It's decisions that were later overturned, approaches you tried and dropped, the same instruction restated because it wasn't clear the earlier one still applied, and a schema pulled in for one question that is still loaded twenty exchanges later.
All of it gets processed alongside the material that matters. That shows up in the bill, and it can show up in latency and output quality too.
A quick test: if you started this exact task fresh, how much of what's loaded right now would you bring with you?
Shopify Analytics will happily tell you revenue and ROAS. It will not tell you if you actually made money after COGS, fees, shipping, returns, and ad spend.
That gap is why I built True Profit Analytics under Reiwa Dev.
You set COGS and costs, import ad spend via CSV, then get a Founder view (P&L waterfall, CM1 to CM2 to net) and an Ads Manager view (POAS and campaign spend). Action cards flag the leaks. You can annotate Shopify Analytics events and export CSV when you need to show someone else the numbers.
Lift adds MCP so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and similar tools can query those Founder and Ads dashboards instead of you screenshotting charts into a chat.
I built it because too many Shopify brands I work with celebrate ROAS while the bank account disagrees. If you only look at top-line vanity metrics, you optimise the wrong thing.
