Local Word Report Automation — Excel Inputs, Content Controls, and QA
A fictional five-page reporting system that turns a controlled Excel workbook into an editable Word report. The template uses 26 tagged native content controls, approved-text lookups, calculated budget fields, reusable headers and footers, and a written field map.
A local generator validates required inputs, rejects unknown library codes, calculates derived values, and creates a new DOCX without sending data to a cloud service. Six automated tests cover long text, special characters, missing data, invalid codes, and recalculation. Portfolio demonstration; not prior client work.
