The barber's booking app sends reminders and directions, but it doesn't use a paid messaging service. When he taps Remind or Send location, it opens a text that's already written on his own phone, and he just hits send. I went that way because every SMS or chat-bot service needs an account, keys and a monthly bill, and sooner or later someone has to keep it running. It's one extra tap for him and nothing to renew.
