The River Remembered
What if a painting became the last surviving evidence of a world that no longer exists?
I reimagined George Caleb Bingham’s Fur Traders Descending the Missouri as a story set 500 years in the future, where archaeologists use the painting to reconstruct a vanished Missouri River and inevitably get parts of its story wrong.
Explored and created through FLORA.
The painting survived. The river didn’t.
