Generative AI like Coding AI or LLMs in general they really need an expert guiding them or a harness to steer them or even a goal they look up to when they start working.
I joined the Contra Seedance Challenge which is running through CapCut and I was sure I would win it with the idea I have in mind. I checked on the entries daily to see what people are posting. I was getting more confident I would win.
Why?
Most of the submissions were short and don't have a story. Like random clips that shows the power of a new model.
Yesterday, two days away from the deadline. I opened my loaded CapCut account (they granted me 5k credits) and started writing the story. The epic scenario that will crash everything else.
The dreams of making a hit. Netflix calling me to sign to make a full series. You know the endless dreams.
Then I started working and everything was falling apart. The only think I hear myself saying what is this stupid model. What is this garbage.
The submissions I saw were beyond my reach. I can't dream about making something like what I saw.
The idea was an anime style with French touch. On the last try, I just asked the director to do what ever it sees fit. I spent 5300 of credits and nothing was near my expectations.
Well to be honest I gave a long prompt in two takes and the model or director hallucinated big time it jumped from style to another and switched roles and so on. You can check the results .

What I Did & Why
I created a 30-second one-take cinematic adventure using Seedance 2.5, designed to feel like a premium open-world game. The same character continuously explores four completely different environments: an underwater restaurant, a lunar transit station, a rainforest office, and a vintage ballroom.
My main challenge was making these worlds feel like one continuous journey instead of four separate scenes. I used physical objects as transitions—a glowing jellyfish, a moving lunar train, and a giant rainforest leaf—so the environment transforms naturally while the camera keeps moving.
I created this because I wanted to show that every unknown world is another opportunity to explore. The character never stops or turns back. She keeps moving forward, adapting to every new environment, until the ending hints that her adventure is still continuing.
For the CapCut challenge, my goal was to push Seedance 2.5 beyond simple scene generation and create something that feels like one playable adventure captured in a single cinematic take. The message is simple: keep exploring, keep moving forward, and never stop discovering what comes next. 🌎🚀🌿🎹
Hi Contra team,
I joined the CapCut Seedance 2.5 challenge and submitted the application for the 5,000 free credits two days ago. The form was successfully submitted ("Got it!"), but my account still only shows Dreamina Seedance 1.0 Fast and 0 AI credits.
I have also reapplied today because I thought the first submission might not have gone through.
The challenge deadline is approaching, and I'm unable to use the required Seedance 2.5 model. Could you please check my application or activate my credits?
