The Chiropteran
What happens when an engineer stops trying to imitate a machine and starts studying an animal?
The Chiropteran is an experimental flying machine inspired by the mechanics of bat flight. Its articulated wings attempt to reproduce the flexibility, sequential movement, and changing geometry of a biological wing.
For the Seedance 2.5 challenge, I wanted to explore that idea as a continuous cinematic journey: from observing the bat, to studying its movement, to building the machine, and finally attempting its first flight.

In the future ‘trying out’ stuff in real life might start in VR. It might as well end up there. This is a story of desire for adventure and exploration, yet bounded in room. Real activities turned into digital entertainment. ‘Participating’ in different sports might be just a dropdown menu to select in a new game. Some might say that the is a leap is forward, some that is a leap backwards. That’s up to you to decide.
I’ve always wanted to do this exact story and Seedance 2.5 made it possible. 7 locked-in visual sheets to direct the exact outfits for each scene and the room environment for the end shot. Seedance 2.5 did a brilliant job at nailing all the reference looks!
Workflow:
1. I created each reference sheet to match the outfits I wanted for the sports I wanted, using Nano Banana Pro
2. Then I worked on the concept then into the prompt.
3. Did initial tests and I noticed where the prompt falls and wanted to change the ending (with the current one)
4. Did some prompt itterations until I finally landed on the ONE SHOT

Project Title: Cyber Velocity: A 30s Continuous FPV Odyssey
Concept & Vision
The goal was to test the dynamic limits of Seedance 2.5 by executing an extreme scale transition within a single, continuous 30-second camera move. Instead of relying on traditional cuts, the shot connects two contrasting worlds: the high-speed macro complexity of an engine chamber and the expansive, slow-motion atmosphere of a rain-soaked cyberpunk skyline.
Creative Workflow
Initial Reference Frame:
Generated a high-contrast macro close-up of mechanical engine pistons and glowing neon conduits in CapCut Video Studio to serve as the initial visual and geometric anchor.
Native 30s One-Take Generation (Seedance 2.5):
Applied a continuous forward velocity prompt within the Canvas timeline, guiding the camera through five spatial transitions: Engine Chamber $\rightarrow$ Wet Highway $\rightarrow$ Skyscraper Facade $\rightarrow$ Bullet-Time Penthouse $\rightarrow$ Metropolis Skyline.
Sound Design & Final Polish:
Layered spatial audio directly in CapCut—blending mechanical hums, high-speed wind shears, glass impacts, time-dilation audio filters, and ambient synth pads to reinforce every motion beat.
Generation Prompt:
Continuous seamless 30-second one-take high-speed FPV drone flight. Extreme fluid forward motion from macro to wide cinematic scale. The shot starts inside a glowing mechanical engine chamber with sparking neon pistons, then rapidly pushes out through the glowing exhaust pipe onto a rain-slicked cyberpunk highway. The camera swoops beneath flying hover-cars, ascends vertically along a reflective glass skyscraper facade, and smoothly punches through a luxury penthouse window. Inside, the camera navigates a dramatic slow-motion bullet-time scene with floating shattered glass and glowing holographic interfaces, finally pushing past suspended champagne droplets out onto an open balcony revealing a colossal sprawling futuristic metropolis in heavy volumetric rain.
