Students were applying to universities through emails and forms.
Counselors were tracking applications in spreadsheets.
And students kept asking the same question:
“What’s happening with my application?”
So we started building something that connected both sides of the process.
But the interesting part wasn't the application form.
It was everything that happened after the application was submitted.

The hard part is one status both sides trust. Model it as an event log, application received, docs requested, under review, decision sent, and derive the student view and the counselor view from the same stream. A single editable status field is what makes that "what is happening with mine" question keep coming back.
