Unpopular opinion: You can build serious mobile apps with Lovable.
I’ve spent the last 4 months building and shipping a real client project with Lovable, and one thing became clear:
You don’t always need to rebuild your entire application in Flutter or React Native just to launch on mobile.
Instead, we used Lovable + Capacitor to take the same application to Web, iOS, and Android.
With Capacitor, we can access native capabilities such as:
→ Push notifications → Camera → Geolocation → Clipboard → Deep links → Background tasks → Native status bar → Offline support
The biggest advantage?
One codebase instead of maintaining separate web and mobile frontends.
But the biggest lesson I learned wasn't about Lovable or Capacitor.
It was this:
Don’t optimize your prompts. Optimize your architecture.
AI can generate code incredibly fast.
But if your component structure, state management, API layer, database architecture, and business logic aren't designed properly, you'll eventually pay for that speed with technical debt.
After shipping a real client project this way, I’m convinced AI-assisted development is entering a new phase.
The future isn't AI vs. developers.
It’s developers who know how to architect, validate, and ship AI-generated applications.
That’s where the real advantage is. 🚀
