Senior Automation Engineer | Framework & Strategy
In this role, I served as the technical lead for quality engineering, shifting from manual-heavy processes to a high-velocity, automated testing environment.
Technical Execution & Testing Scope:
- Full-Spectrum Testing: Executed a comprehensive testing lifecycle encompassing Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Functional, and Non-functional testing to ensure end-to-end stability.
- UI & System Validation: Conducted rigorous UI and System testing across diverse environments to guarantee a seamless and bug-free user interface.
- User Acceptance (UAT): Managed UAT cycles to align technical deliverables with final user requirements and business goals.
- Framework Architecture: Supervised and optimized Cypress scripts and utilized Reflect to build robust, reusable automation frameworks.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Created and maintained detailed test cases and technical documentation in Confluence, facilitating smooth onboarding and operational continuity for the team.
Measurable Impact & Achievements:
- Efficiency Optimization: Increased overall team productivity and QA efficiency by 50% through the implementation of advanced automation tools.
- Quality Control: Led the initiative that successfully reduced the defect rate by 30%, ensuring higher code quality before production.
- Accelerated Delivery: Streamlined testing workflows to decrease time-to-market by 20%, allowing for faster feature releases.
- Script Maintenance: Owned the lifecycle of automation scripts, managing the consistent rerunning and maintenance of Cypress and Reflect suites for every release rollout.
