Introducing MIDNIGHT MELT — Dark Luxury Chocolate. 🖤🍫 A bold packaging and brand identity concept created to capture the rich, indulgent character of MIDNIGHT MELT through deep obsidian tones, metallic foil typography, and mouth-watering product visuals. Every element is designed to make MIDNIGHT MELT feel premium, mysterious, and impossible to ignore. The deep obsidian-to-navy gradient across every shot gives the brand an instantly premium, after-dark feel — it doesn't compete with the product, it frames it. The gold and silver foil embossing on the packaging adds a tactile, luxury-goods quality that makes the box feel like something you'd unwrap slowly, not tear open. The chocolate macro shots — steam rising off freshly broken bars, glossy fracture lines, scattered cocoa dust — build sensory craving before the brand name even registers. Pairing that with the candlelit hand-hold shots grounds the whole identity in ritual and intimacy, rather than just product display.

Nocturne is a self-initiated fragrance house I built from the ground up, treated with the same process I'd bring to any client: strategy first, then design. 

The brief was familiar: a fragrance inspired by the city after dark. Most fragrance branding solves that with common approaches such as moonlight, mystery, or gold foil details. I wanted to solve it with something more specific: what does after dark actually look like in an urban environment? Concrete, streetlight, wet pavement, the quiet stretch between one train and the next.

That question shaped everything downstream. An archetype chosen deliberately against category convention, Creator and Explorer rather than the more expected Lover or Magician. A material-first approach to the bottle and packaging. Sandblasted glass, a textured concrete-like cap, no gold, no ornament. And a running checklist I held every decision against throughout the project.
