I’m really good at quitting, and I wouldn’t be where I am today if I wasn’t. I’ve quit toxic workplaces. I’ve quit a career I spent years studying for. I’ve quit situations that looked good on paper but felt wrong in real life. Growing up, we’re taught that sticking things out is always a virtue. That quitting means failure. But a quote I think about often is… “Better to admit you walked through the wrong door than spend your life in the wrong room.” I hate the idea of kicking the can down the road just because it feels safer to stay. If I had known how happy I could be in the right career, the right workplace, and the right relationship, I would have quit the wrong ones even sooner. Quitting isn’t giving up. Sometimes it’s choosing better.
Now that I've let go, I'm open to new opportunities.
