10 months, Top 5% on Contra Pro, but $0 clients so far... How did you land your first project here?

Hey everyone! I wanted to reach out to those of you who are successfully getting clients on Contra.

I’ve been on Contra Pro for about 10 months now. My profile is 100% complete, I consistently post case studies and services, and I’ve managed to rank in the top 5% of creatives with a discovery score of 134. However, from day one until now, I haven’t received a single direct inquiry or project from this platform.

I know that getting the first client is always the hardest hurdle—once you get that momentum and referral loop going, things get easier. But right now, breaking through that initial barrier feels almost impossible, even after applying to jobs and trying everything recommended.

For those of you who have experience and are winning projects on Contra:

How did you land your very first client on here? Is there anything specific in my approach I might be missing?
