Morning, 2125 is a contemporary reimagining of Johannes Vermeer’s Young Woman with a Water Pitcher. I imagined the quiet domestic moment 100 years into the future, preserving Vermeer’s sense of light, stillness, and human intimacy while transforming the woman’s environment, the pitcher, and the world beyond the window. I explored the idea that while technology, architecture, and materials may change, simple human rituals can remain timeless. I built and iterated through multiple scenes in FLORA, moving from the original painting to the woman’s future morning, the world outside her window, the transformed vessel, and finally a unified hero artwork.
