How to Craft Landing Pages that Convert

You only have a couple of seconds to convince your prospect that his/her time is worth spending on what you have to say.
That's why it is important to craft a landing page that targets your potential client, opens an interest in what you have to say, and makes them scroll even further.
How do you make a landing page more effective? While there isn't an exact science on crafting the best landing page in copywriting, you must take a couple of things into consideration. Here are some of them.
1) Begin your piece with a headline that offers value. Don't try to be funny or extravagant. The best way to grab attention is through relevant information that keeps the reader reading.
2) Address the problem. Again, lead with relevant information & concrete solutions. Copywriting isn't a competition for who can come up with the most clever headlines and phrases; it is about real prospects with real issues.
3) Focus on benefits. Any potential client once he or she is hooked by your copy wants to know what's in for them. Tell them how your product will help them solve their problem. Tell them what the product will do to make their situation better.
4) Build the trust. There is one good reason for using testimonials from happy clients on a landing page, and that is for building trust. While you can highlight the benefits of a product, a prospect may still be skeptical about it. You can break the trust barrier with testimonials from clients who are already happy with what they got.
5) Stand out. Here, you don't need to be extravagant. Just as you don't need bombastic headlines, your copy as a whole doesn't need to be the best written text on the internet. However, it still needs to stand out by showing its uniqueness on the market. In the end, why would they choose your product instead of your competitors' products?
6) Have a clear CTA. Readers want to know what to do next. If you don't want to lose your prospect, you need to guide him or her through the process. That's why clear guidance is needed. For every part of the process, you need a clear CTA. Without one, you don't have a piece of copy.
7) Remove friction. The reader wants things to be as simple as possible. That's why your copy doesn't need to be complicated. The more straightforward it is, the better conversion it will make. The clearer you write it, the easier it is for your prospect to buy.
These are seven pieces of advice that you always need to take into consideration if you are serious about your landing pages. Follow them, and your landing page will convert more.
