Si Romo Baik is an animated series we created and produce with Sathora parish in Jakarta, for Catholic religious education. One choice we kept: when a kid gets confused, the color drains out. Plain beige, a soft silhouette, nothing else in frame. The next shot is back in full watercolor with Romo. I'd rather show confusion than explain it. When you explain something hard to a young audience, what do you take away first?
